Zoo Day!

Today we decided to take a trip to the Zoo.

On the way there we sang some songs.

Violet was very happy to see the Ring-tailed Lemur

Lucy was super excited to be at the Zoo for her first visit.

Being the only family at the Zoo has its advantages.

We were able to meet and pet Thomas the Python.

This week Dad took us to visit our friend, Fireman Paul.

He let us drive this cool old fire truck.

Today was our preschool trip to the Pumpkin Patch.

First we took some time to visit the cows.

It was time for the cows to have their breakfast.

Next we headed out to the see the pumpkins.

Aquarium

Today was a perfect day to make use of our membership at the Aquarium.

We started out by saying good morning to our friends in the large tank.

Next we checked out all of the frogs.

Lucy got nice and close to this one.

We always love visiting our dolphin friends.

I had to make sure Mom got the dolphin in the picture too.

Hey! There's a dolphin driving our boat!

Jellyfish are cool! What do you think, Lucy?

I love them too!

I just had to get a closer look at these young eels.

Vernon

Last month we went to Vernon to visit Grandma and Grandpa A.

They took us to the fair and we got to go on this cool ride together!

Grandpa taught Lucy how to play the piano.

We went to the duck park and chased ducks around.

Lucy really wanted to pet one.

Lucy and Daddy made friends with the Ogopogo.

Grandma and I made cookies in our matching aprons.

It's important to concentrate when decorating.

Eating cookies is the best part!

This week we went to celebrate Great Grandma and Auntie Amber's birthdays.

Mom and I volunteered to make a cake.

I put all of the decorations on.

As you can see, I was pleased with the results!

Lucy decided to try out Great Grandma's 'pretty' cane.

One Last Beach Day

The weather was so beautiful on the weekend we just had to go to the beach.

Lucy spent a lot of time digging in the sand.

After lunch I practiced my cute face.

We had our last camping trip of the season last week.

Here is our new tent right by the lake!

Visiting the PNE

Last week we headed to the PNE to check things out.

Last week Violet's class went on a field trip to an equestrian centre.

She spent the first half hour riding this horse.

She really loved it!

After riding her group went off to learn about taking care of horses.

They brushed the horse and fed her a treat.

Rainbow's Journey

Violet volunteered to look after the class fish Rainbow for the Easter weekend.

I didn't know when I volunteered that we would be going to the cabin for Easter.

The twins stayed home but Lucy and Lowen had fun riding in the wagon.

We recently took a little holiday to Mexico. Here are a few pictures.

While everyone else ate dinner, I built this sand tower.

This was one of my favourite places to hang out.

We went to see some dolphins. These were the babies.

We also went on a boat tour.

I had a lot of fun running on the beach!

Kites!

Last week we went to Saskatchewan to visit Grandma and Grandpa Sauder.

Grandpa and I decided to try kite flying.

At first my kite didn't really do anything...

Then, with a little help from the wind, it went up in the air!

After a bit we decided to walk to the top of the hill

to see if it would be a little windier.

When we got to the top we stopped to admire the view.

My kite flew up right away but Grandpa had a little trouble with his.

Lucy had a lot of fun watching the kites.

I had to hang on really tight!

Grandpa let Lucy fly his kite for a bit. Her technique is a little different...

We had so much fun!

The Cabin - Round 2

We also had a chance to head back to the cabin this week.

It was so warm out we spent most of the ferry ride on the deck.

Mom makes a rare appearance on the blog.

We went across to the beach and I swam in the ocean.

Camping

Last week we went camping for the first time.

We shared our campsite with some cute bunnies.

Lucy shared her playpen with baby Gus.

We also shared our campsite with a couple dirt piles.

Playing in the dirt is a lot of fun!

After that it was time to cool off in the lake.

Lucy beat the heat by drinking some pop.

(Don't worry, she's not really drinking it!)

My friends and I went for a hike.

Dad took me down to the water.

I like climbing!

The waterfall is so beautiful!

We also played around this cool tree.

I had so much fun but I was tired out by the time we left.

Nothing like a relaxing sleep in the car!

Princess party! Gwyn and I enjoyed dinner together.

After ballet class one week, Mom and I made Rice Krispie squares.
My job was to count the marshmallows.

We went to Centennial Beach with some friends.
Coralie was kind enough to push me on the swing.

Lucy loves the swing too!

I spent some time down at the water.

I threw lots of rocks.

And collected some shells.

I also spent some time visiting the ducks.

What a fun day at the beach!

We also went to visit Theo's baby brother Gus. He sure is small!

After that we went for sushi. Lucy even ate some rice.

A Trip to Richmond

It looks like everyone had a good time.

There were lots of different things to do.

We recently went on a trip to visit Grandma and Grandpa Sauder in Saskatchewan. I was very happy that it snowed!

Catch Up

It's been a while since our last post so we will try to do a few this week to catch up.

A couple weeks ago we took a tour of our city transit system. Here I am riding the skytrain.

Next, it was time to get on the sea bus. It was very cool!

We stopped for lunch before making the return trip.

Internet Troubles

We must apologize for the delay in posting. Our Internet has been down since Christmas.
Now we are back to show you pictures from the holidays.

This year we went to Vernon for Christmas. I brought a lot of toys for the car but ended up playing with the toy bag too.

On Christmas Eve we made a Gingerbread House. Here I am with one of my favourite gifts.

Even Lucy opened a present.

Megan and I decorated some dinosaurs with fancy clothes.

Grandma read me my new book (so did everyone else). (Twice).

I found a good use for some of my new stickers.

I helped Grandma cook dinner.

Dad and I went for an evening walk in the snow.

Lucy practiced her tummy time. She is getting bigger every day.

I am really getting to be a good helper in the kitchen. Also, I wanted to show you my new haircut.

Merry Christmas Part 1

This weekend we went to Owen's birthday party at the gymnastics club.
I had fun on the trampolines.

Sunday evening we went to the Santa Clause parade.

It was a little cold out but we had a great time.

Sunday afternoon we went to Dad's work Christmas party for kids.
Lucy made friends with Berlin.

She also caught up with Lucas.

The party was at another gymnastics club! I had a lot of fun on the trampolines.

Dad helped me balance on this beam while I walked.

There was also this bouncy castle.

I didn't like Santa but I followed this reindeer around for awhile.

Saturday we went to the Community Living Festival in Langley. There was a big painting which I helped with.

Dad and I went to Lynn Canyon. Dad hiked and I rode in the backpack.We stopped for a picnic and went in the river.We even went on a wobbly bridge.What a fun day!On Saturday I went to my very first concert.

I was very excited for it to start.

It was so fun to see my friends the Backyardigans.

I even danced a bit when they sang.

What a fun afternoon!

Now that I have a baby sister I get to help more around the house.
First, the dishes.

A couple weeks ago I went to the PNE with Dad and Grandma and Grandpa B. For lunch I ate mini donuts.

We got to watch Superdogs and Grandma bought me this princess wand.

So far having a sister is pretty good. This is what she does most of the time.

A Day at the Lake

On Friday we were invited to spend the day at the lake. We even went for a boat ride.

We cuddled up to stay warm.

I even got to drive the boat!

Then it was time for a ride on the tube.

After watching for a while, Owen joined us.

Once I was finished, I bundled up to dry off.

Nothing like a refreshing bottle of water after a long day of tubing on the lake!

What a fun day.

A Trip to the Fire Hall

Two Weeks of Fun

Sorry about not posting last week. Here are pictures from both weeks. Gwyn and I met up at the vegetable farm.

I went to the park to play with Grace.

Elijah and I pretended we were camping in the living room!

Grandma Sauder was in town to see baby Isabel. While we were shopping she showed me how these horses work.'It was so hot last week that Mom and I had ice cream at Costco.Yesterday we went to the beach!

I walked in the water.

I also collected a lot of shells in my buckets.

There was a festival at the beach and I made this pirate hat!

I also had fun in this bouncy castle. What a fun day!

A Quick Trip

One of the things we did this week was meet my new cousin Isabel. She is very cute!

We also took a quick trip out to Saskatchewan for Great Grandma's funeral.
Here I am on the plane ride there.

I got to meet some new cousins. This is Mattea (I hope I spelled that right). We had fun playing together.

After a while we snuck downstairs to watch TV.I was really happy to see Grandma an Grandpa Sauder.

It was a long drive back to the airport.

Wow! My own seat and my own headphones.

A Visit to Vernon

Last weekend we went on a road trip to Vernon. Here I am getting ready for the trip.

Our first morning there I picked my own raspberries and ate them on my cereal. YUM!After breakfast it was time to help Grandpa A. in the garden.This is fun!Dad, Mom and I went up to Silverstar to walk around. I found this funny friend.

Next it was off to the nature centre. Here I am in a bear cave.

I also learned about bees.

This skunk is pretty cute.

Here I am touching a gopher snake. It is 3 feet long.

For lunch we went to visit Grandma A. at the farm where she works. I even got to have a cookie and go on a tractor ride.

Tractor rides are a lot of fun.

It's finally summer vacation. Mom and I went to Parker Island for a little holiday.
First we had to wait for our ferry.

Once we were on board I had a little snack.

I went outside to see the ocean. It was a little windy.

Here we go! All aboard for the boat ride to the cabin.

Elijah and I had fun shooting wolves and foxes. Don't worry, they were only imaginary!

Trampolines and Digging

Last weekend we went to Owen's house. We played outside on his trampoline!

I tried to stand up but it was a little wobbly.OK, now I am starting to get the hang of this!Owen also let me drive his tractor.

Theo joined us to dig in the dirt.

Fun in the Sun

On Monday the weather was so nice that Dad took me to the beach. From the expression on my face you can see how I felt about that!

It was fun to run around on the sand and chase sea gulls.Here is a good picture of Dad and I.I am so cute!

When we were done at the beach it was still early so we headed to the zoo. I got a good look at the cheetah.

I even got to get close to a pony.

"He's a nice guy!"

On Thursday we had an Easter Egg hunt at daycare.

Today Grandpa B. came over and we celebrated his birthday.

Spring Weather

Last weekend Gwyn came over to play. We had a lot of fun.

We also went to a bouncy castle! Dad and I had fun bouncing around.I had fun crawling around.

Yesterday we took advantage of the sunshine and headed to the park.

I even went down the big slide by myself.

I tried to plant some sticks.

Next it was time to poke sticks through the table.

On the way out I gave the post a big hug.
