A Blast From the Past

Not much went on this week so here are a few things I forgot to share with you...


A few weeks ago we took a trip to IKEA as you can see it was pretty exhausting.











One day it was so hot out that I had a bath on the deck. It was a lot of fun.

















Theo came over for a visit. I insisted on holding him.










We went to visit the cousins one day. Here we are drinking our milk together.















I took a turn playing the drums.


















While I did that Elijah brushed his teeth.

















We also took a trip to the PNE to see the 4H show and Superdogs. There was a lot to look at.












I enjoyed looking at the baby animals.












Grandma helped me see over the fence.

I am also learning to sing along. Here is my favourite song.

A Much Needed Get Away

After the stress of the last week we decided to get away. Mom and I were already scheduled to visit Grandma and Grandpa Sauder so Dad decided to join us.

We missed our first flight (despite being there an hour and a half early, thanks Air Canada) so we spent some time exploring the airport.








I enjoyed looking at the sculptures in the terminal.











I made a new friend in the Edmonton airport.
















I also took some time to get a bit of exercise.

"Booo!!!" My new favourite animals. I spent a lot of time visiting my friends the cows.











Farm life is the best!















It was also very hot. I spent some time cooling off in my little pool.
















Grandpa's main job was to show me the cows. As soon as I saw him I let him know this by saying "Boooo!"










We also took some time to drive the tractor.














We visited Great Grandma and I decided to wear her shoe.



















Grandma and I even fed the cows.












Now here's a tractor I can handle on my own.













On the flight home I shared some snacks with dad.

What a great trip. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!

Sadness...

So, another week has gone by without a post. Unfortunately I have a reason for this. As most of you know, we were expecting baby #2 in November. Well, life is full of things unexpected and the last thing we ever expected or wanted happened.

On Thursday August 7th I had some bleeding so we went in to the hospital. When we got there we found out that our baby had passed away. Our son, Oliver, was stillborn on Friday August 8th at 2:11 am. He weighed just over 2 pounds and was 34cm long.

It has been a long hard week with many more to come. I know this blog is usually Violet's place to show off her adventures but it didn't seem right to not write something about this.

Birthdays and Boxes

Sorry for the missed post last week. We have all been sick here so rest was our top priority.





Last week we went out to celebrate dad's friend Brian's birthday. While were there I saw my favourite Olympic mascot - Quatchi!












Here we are just hanging out together.

Today I rediscovered the joy of boxes.













Maybe hippo and I will just sleep in here.
